Panaji: Union ministry of Home Affairs on Monday transferred Goa’s Director General of Police (DGP) Muktesh Chander replacing him with Pranab Nanda.
The order which was issued on Monday by the ministry has transferred Chander to Delhi while Pranab Nanda will be DGP of Goa “on joining the cadre from central deputation on February 28, 2019.”
Chander, who was deputed to Goa in February 2016 from Delhi, has been known for giving thrust to traffic discipline in the State by introducing schemes like “Traffic Sentinel” involving common people in policing.
