COVID19: 45 new cases, 53 recovered on Tuesday

Panaji: Goa on Tuesday reported 45 new COVID-19 infections while 53 person who were undergoing treatment were discharged after recovery from the hospital.

State Health Department official said that 45 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported on Tuesday taking the tally of confirmed cases to 909.

The state has already reported two deaths on Monday. Both men  of age 85 and 58 respectively had died at ESI hospital in Margao town due to COVID-19 infection.

Officials said that out of 1991 samples that were tested, 1274 are negative and 672 reports are still awaited.

In a major relief on Tuesday, 53 people who were admitted after testing COVID-19 positive were discharged from the hospital.

Goa continued getting patients from Mangor Hill, an area in Vasco town, which has been declared as a containment zone.

Total 327 cases are reported from Mangor Hill till date while 205 patients are linked to that area.
