Panaji:   Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 57 and reached 54,523 on Saturday, a health department official said.

The death toll remained at 787 as none of the patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 53,243 with 62 of them getting discharged on Saturday. The number of active cases is now 493, the official said.

“With 1,791 new tests, the total number of tests conducted in the state has gone up to 4,81,571,” he added.
