Panaji: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar said that at least 7-8 BJP MLAs have refused to accept the party ticket for upcoming election.
BJP Goa spokesman Urfan Mulla rubbished the statement by Chodankar calling it as his fear of losing elections.
During a press conference, Chodankar said that 7-8 MLAs have already refused to contest next election on BJP ticket foreseeing their defeat.
He said that BJP would not be left with anyone by the time elections come.
Reacting to the statement, Mulla tweeted “Congress Goa President @girishgoa is baffled! His statement that 7-8 MLAs are in touch with him indicates his fear of losing elections. No one from BJP is interested to join sinking Congress party. Girish should first save his congress which will be extinct in election.”
