Colva: Colva Police on Saturday raided illegal slaughter house operated by one Majid Bepari at his residence Near St. Paul Chapel, Pedda, Benaulim.
Officials said that the raid was conducted after one of the animal activist informed police about the illegalities.
During the raid police found four cows, one buffalo , another bull altogether seven cattle tied just outside the residential premises of Majid Bepari.
Fresh beef, bones etc were also found.
Cattle were seized by the Colva Police and sent to a nearby gaushala. Complaint has been registered against Majid Bepari who also sells beef in his shop in Margao.
Some documents issued by on Veterinary Doctor from Belgaum which appeared to be fake were found in his premises and the investigation in this regard is on.
