Margao: Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai on Sunday said that the silence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Karnataka’s plan to resume work on Mahadayi project is deafening.

“This good news spells doom for Goa’s lifeline which our @goacm, once equated to be moer than a mother to him. Silence from his side is deafening,” Sardesai tweeted.

He was responding to the news on a local news channel which quoted Karnataka’s irrigation minister Govind Karjol which stated that they would be completing work on the Mahadayi Irrigation project.

Recently, Sardesai had demanded that Goa Chief Secretary should move contempt petition before the Supreme Court against Karnataka.
