Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday met various leaders in the national capital, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The CMO said that during the meeting with the PM, Sawant briefed him about various initiatives undertaken by the Goa government and expressed heartfelt gratitude for his unwavering support. CM sought the PM’s invaluable guidance to further enhance the development and progress of the state, the CMO said.
The Chief Minister, during his Delhi visit, also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President J P Nadda, and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman, among others.
The CMO said that during the meeting with Shah, the Chief Minister briefed him about various initiatives in the state and sought his guidance. During the meeting with the Finance Minister, the CMO said, the Chief Minister reiterated Goa’s demand to the 16th Finance Commission for an enhanced share in the devolution of taxes, which is a key proposal aimed at fostering the state’s development and progress.
