Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday expressed concern over the rising cases of COVID-19 in the state.
Goa reported 100 new infections on Friday while three people succumbed to the virus during the day.
Sawant took on to twitter to appeal the people to take precautions amidst rising number of cases.
The chief minister tweeted “The rising COVID19 cases is a cause of concern. Our Government is monitoring the situation closely. Though the situation in Goa is under control, the fight against pandemic is not over.”
“I appeal to the people to stay alert to the situation and avoid mass gatherings, follow all norms such as social distancing, wearing masks and using sanitizers. Also requesting citizens not to fall prey to rumours of lockdown,” he said in another tweet.
