Panaji: Chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Monday expressed grief about passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.
Sawant wrote on X handle “Deeply saddened to learn about the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis.”
“His unwavering commitment to peace, compassion, and the upliftment of humanity transcended borders and faiths,” he added.
The chief minister said “On behalf of the Government of Goa, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Catholic community in Goa and across the world. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
