Panaji: Though they aren’t the first ones to employ the concept of Shakespeare, but the makers of the film “Romeo & Juliet” are the first ones to bring Indo Russian, Konkani & Hindi language together for an adaptation of Shakespeare oh-so-famous love story.
Tying together Shakespeare’s plot, Indo Russian & Konkani with a trademark of Hindi cinema, Romeo – Juliet will be an aesthetically pleasing & content driven masterpiece to global cinema.
Producer of the film, Avadh Sharma of Chetna Entertainment says “Romeo & Juliet is Shakespeare’s most explored chapter in world cinema. Each film industry has its own version. But our film Romeo & Juliet is the first trilingual film in global market in Indo Russian, Konkani & Hindi language”
Director of the film, Aziz Zee says “Romeo & Juliet brings three languages together. That in itself is revolutionary. We want to bring world together with cinema. Why should we limit to one language only. It’s time that cinema becomes a powerful medium to bring the love of entertainment together”
Siddhart Kasyap and DJ Sheizwood will be composing the music of the trilingual film says “Just like Music, Cinema is a global language. The music of the film will be different, nothing ever heard before. The fusion and blend of Konkani Russian and Of course Bollywood is something never heard before and I am exploring the unique musical instruments i will be incorporating for a new age sound ,which will have long shelf life,The singers will be renowned bollywood singers .
The film goes on floor shortly with extensive shooting schedule in Goa, Jaipur and Russia.
The films writer Mr.Alexander Sukhochev is from Russia and is the writer of the best seller novel “The Goa Syndrome”.
