Panaji: City Corporation Commissioner Ajit Roy today presented Rs 132.24 crore budget for the corporation for the financial year 2019-20.
The estimated total revenue expenditure is Rs 79,83,62,300 (Rs 72.83cr) while the receipts are at Rs 77,51,09,00 (Rs 77.51cr).
House tax collection is the biggest source of revenue for the corporation as it expects income of Rs 17.40 crore. Another over Rs 6 crore are expected inform of building permission fees and trade licences.
The corporation has not levied any additional tax on Panjimites but has brought various professional coaching classes, dance and music classes, offices of doctors, architect, engineer and gym under the purview of trade and occupational fees.
