Miramar: Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Saturday said that the number of Cancer cases have increased after the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
The Yoga Guru said that through wellness and spiritual tourism, the tourists who come to Goa should also come here to cure their Blood Pressure, Sugar, Thyroid, Cancer and other diseases.
Baba Ramdev was addressing the gathering at Miramar Beach where Patanjali Yog Samiti has organised three-day-long Yoga camp starting from Saturday. Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant was also present on the stage along with the Yoga Guru.
“It is dream of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi that India should be the global centre of wellness. It is also my dream that Goa should be the centre of wellness,” he said.
Ramdev said that the tourists who come here, should not do it only to go around and see places (ghumne firne ke liye) but should also arrive here to cure their Blood Pressure, Sugar, Thyroid, Cancer and other diseases.
“Cancer has increased a lot (cancer bahot jyada badh gaya hai). It has increased after COVID-19 pandemic. People have lost their sight, their hearing capabilities….,” he said
The Yoga Guru said that Goa should be the centre for Yog, Ayurveda, Sanatan, Divine and Spiritual tourism hub. “The time of two months when tourists are less, we can promote spiritual tourism. People from across the world will come here,” he said.
Baba Ramdev said that the hotel industry should introduce ‘panchkarma’ in their properties and also introduce Yog to the tourists who are staying with them.
“Goa should not be den of eating and drinking. Life is not about just eating, drinking and dying (khana pina aur mar jana),” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Sawant hailed the research in Yoga and naturopathy conducted by team under the guidance of Ramdev Baba.
He said that the state government will provide all the help required to make Goa as Yog Bhumi.
