Panaji: Shree Parshuram Gomantak Sena has demanded inquiry through Enforcement Directorate (ED) against Edomond Royals Chief and Sanvordem BJP President Vilas Desai pointing out that he has hired three Pakistani players into his team, which played Canada T20 league.
Sena Chief Shailendra Velingkar, addressing a press conference, demanded investigation into underworld links in the entire deal. He also questioned BJP’s double-speak against Pakistan, at the backdrop of its senior official hiring the players from that country.
Velingkar also alleged that Rajya Sabha Member of parliament Vinay Tendulkar has his investment in the club, which can also find its links with actor Kapil Jhaveri, who was recently booked for hosting rave party.
He said that while on one side BCCI bans Pakistani players from playing in IPL, Desai had hired them for his team. Velingkar also expressed that the links of underworld might even be traced upto Dawood Ibrahim.
Sena has demanded that Desai be booked under the charges of sedition.
