A blood donation camp was organized on 2/10/23, Gandhi Jayanti day, at the Community Health Centre in Bicholim. The event was organized by CHC Bicholim in association with BJP Bicholim Yuwa Morcha and the Medical Cell of BJP State. It was a part of “Sewa Pakhwada,” which concluded today. The camp was inaugurated by Health Officer Dr. Medha Salkar in the presence of Mr. Aniket Chanekar, President of Yuwa Morcha, and Dr. Shekhar Salkar, Convenor of the Medical Cell, BJP Goa State, as well as the staff of CHC and Yuwa Morcha Karyakarta.
Dr. Medha Salkar appreciated the donors who came forward to donate their blood. Aniket Chanekar praised Honorable Prime Minister Modi Ji for his vision and the programs that directly benefit the people at large.
Dr. Shekhar Salkar emphasized that blood donation is a selfless act, as most of the time, donors do not know the name of the beneficiary who may receive life-saving blood due to their donation.
In total, 15 donors generously donated blood.
