Many forces had tried to destroy the temples in the country to finish Indian culture. It was necessary to show bravery to protect the people. The struggle for the creation of Ram Janmabhoomi had been going on for more than 500 years. Even today children of our country are not taught the Indian culture. Union Minister of State for AYUSH(I/C) & MOS Defence Shri Shripad Naik said that today’s youth and students need to learn Ramayana and Mahabharata.
The Karsevak’s from Priol constituency who had participated in the Ram Janmabhoomi agitation in Ayodhya in 1990 and 1992 were felicitated by AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik at a function organized by Priol BJP Mandal at Madananteshwar Temple in Savoi verem. Speaking on the occasion, Naik said that people from all over the world used to come to India for enlightenment. The power to bring happiness, culture and peace to the whole world was and still is in India. At that time, temples were the centers of power. At that time Kashipeeth, Mathura, Ram Janmabhoomi etc. became power centers. India has been ruled by foreign powers for more than 450 years. Due to the lack of unity among us, we had to succumb before foreign power.
BJP had promised in its manifesto to remove Article 370 from Kashmir and establish a Ram Janmabhoomi, which has now been fulfilled. There were big agitations for Ram Janmabhoomi in 1990 and 1992. Through Vishwa Hindu Parishad Sangh, Karsevak’s performed many programs like Shila Pujan, Ganga Pujan, Ekatmata Andolan. The event was attended by more than a thousand sevak’s from Goa. Gomantakiya Karsevak’s were detained for ten days at Jhashi. Many karsevak’s had to give their lives.
Vishwas Satarkar said that today’s event has been organized to honor Karsevak’s. The first phase was successful when the Babri Masjid was demolished in 1992. The final stage of the yatra has been completed when Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Ram Janmabhoomi.
Sarpanch Satyawan Shilkar, Vishal Gawde, Dilip Naik and other Panchayat members, Zilla Panchayat members and other dignitaries were present on the stage.
