Panaji: Cuncolim youth Congress ex-president Paresh Dessai on Wednesday expressed disparity on the appointment of Assiz Noronha as Cuncolim Congress block committee president.

In a letter to Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Dessai stated that he is surprised by the appointment of Assiz Noronha alleging that he is an ‘anti-congress and non-efficient person’.

“Assiz Noronha who had been removed from the Congress committee on accusation of anti-congress party work. He was also involved in supporting other parties during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. Noronha is damaging the image of largest national party in India,” Dessai stated in his letter.

He further stated that the outh and Congress supporters and workers from Cuncolim Goa have detached themselves from Congress party on appointment of Noronha.

“The appointment of block president has been key factor of losing the Cuncolim constituency seat in State assembly elections,” Dessai stated adding that he is concerned about the upcoming municipal and assembly elections. He urged the GPCC to look into this matter.
