Panaji: Indian Medical Association’s former Goa unit chief Dr Shekhar Salkar has demanded stern action against the person, who allegedly assaulted a doctor on duty in a private hospital at Porvorim.
Salkar tweeted “Aghast and anguished over assault on a doctor at Porvorim. The medical fraternity is closely watching the seriousness of police probe into it. We demand immediate arrest of the criminals who assaulted doctor. It is a serious offence under Medicare Act, 2013. @DGP_Goa @spnorthgoa”
