Arvind Kejriwal releases his fourth guarantee wooing taxi, autorickshaw operators in Goa

Panaji: Aam Admi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday gave the fourth guarantee in the poll bound state assuring state run corporation for the Taxi and Auto rickshaws in the state, when his party is voted to power in Goa.

During an interaction with the Taxi Unions at Vasco, during second day of his visit to the coastal state, Kejriwal said that AAP will take care of the taxi and auto rickshaw operators in the state.

He announced that the corporation will be formed primarily composing of Taxi and auto rickshaw drivers in the state, when AAP is voted to power.

Kejriwal said that Taxi and Auto Rickshaws contribute as an important component of the tourism industry and they should be provided with all the required help to run their business.

He also announced that if taxi or auto rickshaw driver meets with accident, the state government will bear the entire medical expenses.

In order to weed out corruption, Kejriwal also assured faceless system in state Transport Department so that all the works can be done online.

Referring to the High court order which makes having meter on each of the taxi mandatory, the Delhi chief minister said that AAP will challenge the order before Supreme Court considering the difficulties faced by taxi operators.
