Accordingly the team was formed immediately .
The police team waited for long hours in civil clothes and further intercepted one car having registration No.AS-04-G-3188.
The car was thoroughly searched during which Police successfully recovered 10 LSD papers W/Rs. 100000/-.
The preliminary test done at the spot on the papers and have been tested positively for LSD.
Further Anjuna Police have taken custody of accused Mr. Suraj s/o Pradeep Todi, age 29 yrs r/o c/o Gavin D’Souza near Jageshwar Temple Dando Siolim, N/O 41st Main, 3rd Cross GMRK layout, near Geddalahalli Bus Stop,Geddalahalli, R.M V Extension II Stage, Bangalore Karnataka who was driving the said car and found in possesion of LSD papers.
SDPO, Mapusa informed that the offence u/s 22(b) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 was registered and accused has been arrested and car has been attached in said crime.
Further interrogation of accused person revealed that said LSD was sold by one Mr. Kalidas @ Kali Naik s/o Madhukar naik , age-50yrs, r/o HNo. 801, St. Anthony Praise wada Anjuna.
Accordingly another team was formed and Anjuna police successfully arrested said person today evening. Upon the arrest of second accused section 29 of NDPS Act is adduced to the said crime.
Accused Suraj Todi has revealed the names of more persons involved in this crime and search operation is on.
Accused Mr. Kalidas @ kali Naik has remanded 14 days judicial custody and accused Mr. Suraj Todi has been remanded 04 days police custody.
Entire investigation and operation was closely monitored by SPNorth, Nidhin Valsan, IPS, Jivba Dalvi, SDPO Mapusa and raising team consisted of PI Prashal Dessai, PI Anjuna PS, PSI Sahil Warang and constables Mahendra Mandrekar, Rupesh Ajgaonkar, Avir Kalangutkar , and Aniket Pednekar, Abhishek kaskar of Anjuna police station.
