Anganwadis in Goa to restart from July 01

Panaji:The Goa government has decided to restart Anganwadis in the state form July 01 onwards, which were shut down since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the year 2020.
State Women and Child Development Minister Vishwajit Rane told reporters on Tuesday that in accordance with COVID19 appropriate behaviour and norms, it has been decided to restart all Anganwadis in the state from July 01, 2022.
He said that Anganwadis have been closed since the inception of COVID-19.
“We shall keep a strict vigil and also ensure that a doctor conducts regular visits to these anganwadis for thorough monitoring,” he said.
The minister said that the decision to restart Anganwadis has been taken in consultation with the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development.
Goa has total 1262 Anganwadis spread across the state.
