Panaji: Stating that all the 16 congress MLAs are united, Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavlekar today rubbished the rumors that the party is on verge of split.
In a press statement issued, Kavlekar said that there is no divide within Congress but BJP led coalition government is under threat to collapse on its own.
“Ailing BJP Government is presently on ventilator as they are frightened because they know that the coalition partners and their own MLAs are not happy with the government. BJP is spreading rumours to save their own government,” Kavlekar said.
He was reacting to the social media messages going viral stating that former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Filip Neri Rodrigues, Subhash Shirodkar and Tony Fernandez will split and will extend its support to BJP by forming a new regional front.
Kavlekar has blamed BJP for spreading the fake news and creating confusion among the Goans.
LoP said that all the congress MLAs are intact and loyal to the party.
