Panaji: The Kadamba transport corporation limited (KTCL) chairman Carlos Almeida today said that Central government has sanctioned 50 electric buses to the corporation.
“We had sent proposal for 250 buses under the Green Transport scheme; however only 50 buses have been sanctioned to us,” he said.
Almeida said that all the 50 buses will be operated on public-private partnership basis.
He said that the buses will hit the road in November.
