Panaji: 13 out of 16 Congress MLAs today met Goa Governor Dr Mridula Sinha staking claim for government formation for being the single largest party in the State Assembly.
The congress legislative party led by Chandrakant Kavlekar met Governor and submitted letter requesting her to invite them to form government for being the single largest party.
Three MLAs Isidor Fernandez (canacona), Jeniffer Monserrate ( Taleigao) and Subhash Shirodkar ( Shiroda) were not present. Fernandes has undergone surgery, while Shirodkar is out of state for son’s admission and Monserrate is holidaying in America.
