Panaji: A youth from Ribandar lost his life during the wee hours of January 01 after he plunged in the deadly ditch along with his Royal Enfield motorcycle at Mala, Panaji.
The incident happened when the youth was returning back home during the wee hours. He could not see the open ditch due to poor electrification at the spot.
Incidentally, GNH had carried a video of the place recently urging Electricity Department to lit the place. Smart City mission had also not ensured that there is warning for the travelers.
This is a main road used by many people including those going to Patto or Santa Cruz.
