Panaji: The efforts  by St Cruz based social activist Inacio Pereira to unearth the truth which can put several hundred politicians in trouble are not bearing fruits, thanks to Manohar Parrikar-led State government and some of the inefficient police officers who are pampered under its regime.

Pereira has been on the mission to expose how unregistered organization was issuing certificates which were used by the State government to give permissions for the people to contest in wards which are reserved. This is a joke  not only on the democracy but also on the basic issue of Reservations.

This man has travelled across Goa during last eight months visiting village panchayats, collectorates, social welfare department, police stations and even to the State Election Commission trying to correct the mistake, which has jeoparadised the system.

His formal police complaints against the Association of Backward Classes, an unregistered NGO which has issued certificates to hundreds of people who has contested Panchayat elections in reserved wards and also some who may have used it to get government jobs, have been bounced around.

The complaint which was initially lodged at Vasco police station was sent to DySP Vasco and then to Crime Branch and then to Panaji Police Station. There are valid documents which are attached along with this complaint to prove the fraud.

“For last eight months I am running different offices just to tell them what is happened is against law. Every one pushing the matter on each other. Social welfare say they don’t depend on samaj certificate to issues caste certificate its dy collector job to look in to it,” Pereira has said in his facebook post.

“Dy collector waits for social welfare report to take action. Vasco Police pushes to crime branch and crime branch to panjim police station. Panjim police waiting for dy collector to act. lets see whether law prevails,” he said.

If the complaint is acted upon then there would be hundreds of disqualifications in Panchayats and also at other levels. There is no political will. Butwww.Goanewshub.com is determined to take this case to logical conclusion.

Wait next to see how “Former Minister’s keen is involved in this case.”
