Colvale, Goa: Cricket, camaraderie and the spirit of the legal fraternity came alive at Colvale as United Brothers successfully organised the All Goa Advocates Rainy Cricket Tournament 2026, bringing together advocates from across Goa for a memorable day of competitive cricket, friendship and sportsmanship. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from various teams representing the legal fraternity. After a series of exciting encounters, United Brothers emerged as the Champions while Apex Alliance secured the Runners-up position.
The road to the final saw some thrilling cricket. The first semi-final was played between Risers and United Brothers while the second semi-final witnessed a keen contest between Lawyers Challengers and Apex Alliance. The matches showcased the cricketing skills, determination, teamwork and sporting spirit of the participating advocates.
Adding further glory to the tournament, Adv. Dattaraj @ Sai Parab was adjudged the Player of the Tournament for his outstanding overall performance.
After United Brothers secured victory in the final, Adv. Vinayak (Mama) D. Porob lifted the winners’ trophy on behalf of the victorious United Brothers, marking a proud moment for the team and the organisers.
A special attraction of the day was an exhibition match between Advocates 11 and Colvale Police Station. The match brought members of the legal fraternity and the police force together on the cricket field and reflected the spirit of friendship, mutual respect and healthy competition. Colvale Police Station emerged victorious in the exhibition encounter.
The winning trophy of the exhibition match was presented by the Chief Guests of the exhibition match, Hon’ble JMFC Shri. Sabino Braganza and former Sarpanch of Nadora Village Shri. Yoganand Gauns. Their presence and participation added a special touch to the memorable sporting encounter between the advocates and the police. Adv. Vinayak (Mama) D. Porob enthusiastically delivered the vote of thanks, expressing his sincere gratitude to the In-charge of Colvale Police Station for accepting the invitation and participating in the exhibition match at very short notice. He appreciated the cooperation and sporting spirit shown by the Colvale Police Station in making the special match possible.
The main tournament was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Minister for Fisheries and Factories & Boilers, Shri. Nilkanth R. Halarnkar. His presence added significance and prestige to the occasion and encouraged members of the legal fraternity to actively participate in sports and community activities.

The organisers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all sponsors, participating teams, players, match officials and supporters whose valuable contribution helped make the tournament a grand success.
