Panaji: Sattari taluka will host the third edition of annual Bird Festival from January 17 to 19, 2020.
Forest Department in association with Goa Tourism Department and Goa Bird Conservation Network, is holding the festival in a bid to create opportunity to promote Goa as a bird tourism destination.
The basic objective of the event is to focus on putting bird conservation on the center-stage and to raise the attention of nature enthusiasts and general public towards the significance of birds and the important role they play in the ecosystem.
The event will also focus on building initiative to reduce the impact of climate change on the environment.
During the three-day event, talks by prominent ornithologists from around the globe, workshops by professional photographers, art shows, etc will take place.
The delegates would be taken for bird watching in the Valpoi reserve forests, Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary and Bondla Wildlife sanctuary.
