Panaji: AAP MLA Cruz Silva on Monday raised the issue on the floor of the House about illegal distribution and misuse of extracted materials including sand from ongoing desilting of River sal.
He said that the material is deposited at Ambelim village in velim Constituency.
“It is also informed that this sand material is mixed in construction grade sand by sand mafia putting at risk the quality of construction of houses of common people. Inquiry in this regard be initiated and culprits may be brought to book,” he said.
