In a statement posted on his social media on Wednesday, Rane said that he had held virtual meeting with the Health Officers of all the Health Centres in the state.

I have instructed them to ensure that they carry out maximum number of tests at Commuinty Health Centres or Primary Health Centres, so that the testing percentage remains intact, he said,

The minister said that during the interaction, the Health officers were informed of the steps taken by the government in this fight against COVID-19.

Rane said that he has also asked the Health Officers to “reach out to the grassroot level to ensure awareness on the vaccination is conducted.”

He also said that the arrangement is being made to ensure that there are beds with oxygen made available in all the Primary Health Centres and Community Health Centres.

The minister said that he informed the Health Officers on state government’s plan of building hospital dedicated for Paediatrics to deal with Covid cases, in addition to the one at GMC, with state of art facilities.
