Verna: Portion of an support structure for under construction fly over on the National Highway connecting Panaji to Margao city collapsed, severely injuring ten workers.
Police said that the incident happened this afternoon when the portion between two pillars of a fly over at Verna village.
“The work on the fly over was going on when incident happened. The support section of the under construction fly over came crashing. Ten workers are reported to have been injured and they are shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital,” a senior official from Verna police station said.
“The team of police have rushed to the site and also to GMCH to get further details,” he said.
