Pernem: In the significant prostitution raid carried out by Pernem Police Station at Boomerang Resort at Ashvem, Mandrem, Pernem, Police successfully rescued two victims in the age group of 23 to 24 years from Northern part of India and safely admitted them in Protective Home after taking order from the Deputy Collector & SDM, Pernem Goa.
SDPO Pernem, Shri. Jivba Dalvi informed that during the raid which is conducted on 17.01.2024 in the evening hours arrested owner of the resort Mr. Vijay Kumar Sarkar, age 44 yrs R/o Native of Jharkhand and his assistant Mr. Ajit Kumar Jha, native of Bihar.
Team was formed under supervision of Jivba Dalvi consisting of PI Shri. Sachin Lokre of Pernem PS and PI Shri. Narayan Chimulkar of Mopa Airport PS and the staff along with members of ARZ NGO, Smt. Juliana Lohar and Shayori Banerjee and raided the resort.
Police successfully recued two girls and also collected digital records and photographs of victims including online payment done to the accused persons.
The Police also prima facie have suspicion of accused involve in arranging Mujra to the wealthy customers, in which dance of young ladies surrounded by male customers and further during and after such dance the said young ladies are subjected to sexual exploitation. The customer being having strong economical background they take away the girls for satisfying their lust.
SDPO Pernem informed that a CCTV and other documents are taken into custody and will be summoning the various guests suspected to be attending such Mujra’s for investigation.
SDPO Pernem further informed that the letter is moved to the Magistrate to seal the Boomerang Resort, as it is used as brothel U/s 18 of Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act 1956.
Both the accused persons were produced before the Hon’ble Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Pernem and 10 days Police Custody is given to the accused persons.
Police informed that there will be more arrest in this case.
The raiding team consisting of PI Sachin Lokre, PI Narayan Chimulkar, PSI Yogesh Mandrekar, HC-Tirtharaj Mhamal, PC-Sudesh Patil, PC-Smithal Bandekar, PC-Vasu Sawant, PC-Premnath Sawaldessai, PC-Prajyot Mayekar, PC-Sachin Halarnkar, PC- Krishna Velip, PC-Shashank Sakhalkar, LPC- Vinita Humraskar, LPC- Palak Tilve, LPC- Swati Halarnkar.
Further investigation are in progress with Pi Sachin Lokre under supervision of SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi and SP north Nidhin Valsan IPS
