Panaji: Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that Operation Sindoor was not against any country or religion but it was targeting the terrorism.

Talking to reporters on Thursday, Sawant said that the Operation Sindoor executed by our armed forces under the leadership of Prime minister Narendra Modi was not against any country or religion.

“Terrorists who dared to wipe sindoor of our sisters at Pahalgam was at the target. The target was terrorism. We took revenge of what the terrorists did at Pahalgam,” he said.
The chief minister said that officers of Pakistani Army, by saluting the corpse of those terrorists who were killed in the strike by India during the funeral, have reconfirmed our faith that they support terrorism in their country.

“India has shown its might and intent to strike back at terrorism,” he said adding that two women officers briefed media about the strike, which included one from a muslim religion.
“That is why I say that our fight is not against any country or religion but purely against terrorism,” the chief minister said.

Speaking about the mock drill exercises held in Goa on Thursday, Sawant said that the exercises were conducted successfully, displaying our preparedness to face any eventuality.
He said that the exercises were successfully held in both the districts.
