Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that he will conduct inquiry into the entry of the unmanned naphtha-laden tanker in the Goan waters.
While reiterating that there is no danger of any naphtha or oil spillage at this movement, he said that the priority at this point is to empty naphtha from the vessel.
State government is very serious on the issue and I am personally monitoring the situation, he said.
“We will conduct a detail inquiry into the entry of vessel in Goan waters. We will investigate into how the vessel entered into Goa, who brought it, etc,” Chief Minister said.
Sawant said that a professional agency will be onboard by Monday, November 11, to undertake the salvage operation.
