Panaji: National Students Union of India (NSUI) has demanded detailed police investigation into the high profile party at Anjuna that resulted in the violence, severely injuring one.

NSUI Goa Chief Ahraz Mulla said that a video that went viral on social media where youngsters of the age 17-22 were having a night party allegedly at a place in Arpora during a period when the CM, who is also the Home Minister of the State had ordered a lockdown from 8:00 pm to morning 5:00 am.

“It is really sad to witness the video, and scarier to know that an FIR has also not been registered yet in the said incident during a pandemic when protests have resulted in detaining and FIR’s being registered for raising genuine questions,” he said.

NSUI strongly demands the police to register an FIR and give a detailed report on the people present for the party and further investigation needs to be conducted at the earliest to send a strong message to the people of Goa.

The youngsters are said to be sons and daughters of big businessman, but we believe the law needs to just for every person and should not be selectively implemented on activists who are raising genuine issues.

NSUI strongly condemns the government’s non action on the culprits of the said party and strongly demands for an FIR at the earliest since we have reasons to believe of something very fishy.
