Parrikar, 62, has been admitted at AIIMS Delhi for treatment of his pancreatic ailment.

“We have invited ten maulanas from different parts of Goa to BJP State Headquarters where they recited Quaran Khawani for one hour and ‘dua’ (pleading) for half an hour invoking good grace of Allah for recovery of Parrikar,” Sheikh Jinah, President, BJP’s State Minority Morcha said.

He said that muslim community is thankful to Parrikar for helping them in various ways right from aiding the educational institutions to providing help to construct Haj House.

Sheikh remembered that recently when the number of Hajis for Yatra were falling short of the mandatory number, Parrikar had intervened and invited few more (Hajis) from Karnataka and finally flight for pilgrimage flew from Goa.

Parrikar has been ailing from pancreatic ailment since February this year. The faithfuls from different religions have been conducting prayers for his recovery. The temples in the State had peformed Pujas when he was admitted in a hospital in the USA.
