Panaji: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced six guarantees for Goa, promising free electricity, monthly financial assistance to women, health insurance for every family and the scrapping of Section 39A within a month if his party comes to power.

Addressing a gathering in Panaji during his visit to the state, Kejriwal also promised free bus travel for all women and a sports ground in every village.

As part of the guarantees, he promised 300 units of free electricity to every Goan, along with round-the-clock power supply.

He also announced a monthly financial assistance of Rs 3,000 for every woman and health insurance coverage of Rs 10 lakh for every family.

Kejriwal further said Section 39A would be scrapped within a month, while free bus travel would be provided to all women. The section 39-A of Town and country planning act has been receiving criticism for its alleged misuse for land conversions.

The sixth guarantee was the provision of a sports ground in every village.

The announcements come ahead of the 2027 Goa Assembly elections, in which the AAP is seeking to expand its presence in the state.
