Panaji: In a major relief to the public, the State transport department has extended the time for fitment of high security registration plate (HSRP) on the vehicles.
In a public notice issued, department has informed vehicle owners that the HSRP number plates monthly scheduled stands modified.
“Now the vehicle owners who could not get their vehicles fitted with HSRP within stipulated month, will be given additional extended time without any punitive action,” the notice said.
The department also clarified that the enforcement or challaning of vehicles will start only after ensuring that all vehicles have been duly fitted with the new number plated.
