Panaji: Former Goa RSS Chief Subhash Velingkar led political outfit – Goa Suraksha Manch – has decided to contest in the Parliamentary constituencies of the State during upcoming polls.
The State Executive Committee meeting of GSM held on Sunday near here resolved to contest in North Goa and South Goa Parliamentar Seats, Velingkar told reporters on Monday.
He said that the party has already finalized the candidates for both the Parliamentary constituencies, the names of whom would be announced shortly.
Velingkar said that the party has also decided to contest by-election in all the three Assembly constituencies – Shiroda, Mandrem and Mapusa.
The by-election at Shiroda and Mandrem has been necessitated after then Congress Legislators Subhash Shirodkar and Dayanand Sopte, respectively, resigned as MLA to join BJP.
With the demise of former Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza, the Mapusa Assembly Seat has also fallen vacant.
