GOA POLICE STRENGTHENS FITNESS AND WELL-BEING WITH SPECIAL YOGA SESSION UNDER ‘SWASTH POLICE – SASHAKTH POLICE’ AND ‘FIT GOA POLICE’ CAMPAIGNS

As part of the initiatives launched by Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, namely ‘Swasth Police – Sashakth Police’ and ‘Manas Mentors,’ and in continuation of the ‘Fit Goa Police’ initiative introduced by DGP Goa, Alok Kumar, IPS, Goa Police organized a special yoga session today to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and resilience among its personnel.

The session was conducted by ASI Prakash Bandekar and witnessed the participation of DGP Goa, Alok Kumar, IPS, DIGP (HQ), Ajay Krishan Sharma, IPS, along with 300 police personnel from Goa Police and IRBn. The session focused on improving flexibility, concentration, and stress management, reinforcing the importance of a healthy body and mind in policing.

Addressing the participants, DGP Goa, Alok Kumar, IPS, emphasized that fitness plays a crucial role in enhancing efficiency, discipline, and mental sharpness in police work. He encouraged all personnel to adopt regular physical activity and mindfulness practices as part of their daily routine.

Goa Police remains committed to the well-being of its personnel and will continue to conduct such initiatives under the ‘Swasth Police – Sashakth Police’ and ‘Fit Goa Police’ campaigns, ensuring a physically and mentally strong force dedicated to serving the people of Goa.
