Panaji: Goa government today announced three year partnership with Sanofi India Limited to run its international program KiDS (Kids and Diabetes in School).
After signing MoU with the company,Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that State government has entered into agreement with the company to raise awareness of diabetes amongst school children for building awareness of diabetes and its management for a better quality of life.
The minister said Sanofi will run the KiDS program across Goan schools. The project support children with Type 1 diabetes, helps manage their disease, aims to avoid discrimination in schools and raises awareness of healthy diets and physical activity amongst children.
In Goa, Sanofi will execute KiDS program across 2,000 schools and will focus on training workshop, refresher course every six months, impact measurement, information posters in Health and wellness centres.
