Panaji: The Goa Forward party met the State Election Commission (SEC) to discuss some issues concerning irregularities in election. “Names from electoral roll in Mormugao are being deleted by using a dead person’s name, We have brought this irregularity to the notice of SEC,” said GFP leader Durgadas Kamat. He also mentioned that BLOs across Goa are under pressure to add or delete names.

“In Mormugao constituency out of 29 booths 21 BLOs are from the Power department which is ridiculous as you cant have people from the same department, the authorities have agreed to randomise the BLOs when we brought this irregularity to their notice,” inferred Kamat. Goa Forward Party also alleged that they got a phone call from Margao complaining that BLOs are deleting names of a particular community. “I have asked the complainant to lodge a complaint with the chief electoral officer,” concluded Kamat.
