Panaji: Girish Uskaikar has been declared as Goa BJP OBC cell president today. Present for the meeting along with Uskaikar were Sadanand Shet Tanavade and Damu Naik. “I will work with people coming from OBC background in all 40 consittuencies,” Usakaikar said.
OBC is a dominant class in Goa The current reservation for SC is 2%, ST is 12%, and OBC is 27%. Having an active OBC cell in North Goa can help BJP gain support in the long term.
