Panaji: Goa Cricket Association’s managing committee meeting which was today held at Porvorim turned stormy with the members agitated over the non-payment of the money for the prize of Goa Corporate League.

Sources who were present for the meeting stated that Vice President of GCA Manohar Naik questioned how did the managing committee appoint one physiotherapist from Ponda as the GCL Chairman if he could not even arrange for the required funds to organise the coveted league.

Another member Vikas Parsekar informed the managing Committe that though he was part of the organising committee of GCL,  he was not taken into confidence by the GCL Chairman.

He claimed that everything was done without taking the organising committee into confidence.

Some of the members have questioned why as to one  Reddy, who is a controversial person, was  invited  as the Guest of honour which has brought bad name to the GCA.

Some of the members also informed the managing committee members that the cheques which were given to the players have bounced back.

Another GCA member Anant Naik questioned the managing Committee regarding the full organisation of GCL.
