Panaji: The Goa government has appointed Frazella De Araujo as the Advisor to the Forest Department.
State Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane on Saturday said that Frazella has been appointed as the Advisor to the department in addition to the other responsibilities she already holds.
Recently, she was given charge as Advisor to the State Women and Child Development Department and the Health Department, both portfolios held by Rane.
Rane said that Araujo has been instrumental in conceptualising the Health Outreach Program in the state, besides the historic IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) initiative at the state-run Goa Medical College and Hospital.
The minister added that Araujo’s appointment will benefit the Forest Department in several areas, including policy formulation.
