Finally, GMCH kiosk vendors to get their shops

Bambolim: After much delay, the Public Works Department has written to Deputy Collector , Tiswadi to hand over the kiosks built to rehabilitate the vendors outside Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim.

PWD Executive Engineer has written to the Deputy Collector asking him for suitable time and date to disccuss the matter.

The department has informed Deputy Collector that they have completed the construction of 63  Gaddas/Kiosks in front of Goa Medical College.

The rehabilitation process which was initially delayed went on fast paced after the kiosk vendors resorted to strike which went on for the longest period of time.

  1. One shop keeper has already been tresspassing on the footpath. Just imagine when all these permanent kiosks will be given their alloted structures.

    Since there is no Material Recovery Facility erected by the respective Panchayats where will these vendors dump their garbage?
