Drug related offences have reduced in Goa: CM

Panaji: Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant on Monday said that the drug-related offences have significantly reduced in the coastal state.
In his message on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Sawant said “let us unite to raise awareness and combat this global menace.”
“Goa Police remains steadfast in its commitment to a Zero Tolerance Policy against Illegal Drugs, implementing precautionary and remedial measures to curb drug trafficking within the state,” he said.
The chief minister said that through stringent actions targeting both peddlers and users, the prevalence of drug-related offenses has significantly reduced.
“Together, let us build a drug-free society, ensuring a promising future for our youth,” he added.
