Day 2: Parrikar continues attending office, chair meetings

Porvorim: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar attended the office for the second day today, after a gap of almost four months.

Parrikar, 63, is currently recuperating at his private residence near here since his discharge from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

Parrikar arrived at his office at Secretariat at 10.30 a.m. and was in the meetings will 1 p.m. before he went back home.

“CM held meeting with senior government officers and few ministers,” a senior official from Chief Minister’s Office said.

He said that CM met his cabinet colleagues including Milind Naik (Urban Development), Mauvin Godinho (Panchayat) and Vinod Palekar (Fisheries).

“CM also held meeting with Director General of Police Muktesh Chandar followed by another appointment with NCP MLA Churchill Alemao,” the CMO said.

When contacted, Palekar said that he had paid courtesy visit to CM to inquire about his health. “There was no formal discussion on any of the matters with me. I just met him to inquire about his health,” the minister said.
