Fatorda: BJP General Secretary Damu Naik has taken up the cause of Goan carpenters, goldsmith and pick up owners, who are adversely affected due to prolonged lockdown.
Naik met Chief minister Pramod Sawant on Monday with the representations to help out Goans who are in the business of carpentary, goldsmith and also pick up vehicles.
Naik said that the Carpenters who were annually relying on the feasts and jatras and events like Purumentache fest are left in bad shape due to the lockdown.
They were expecting the business during this period of the year when suddenly country had to undergo lockdown as a precaution against COVID-19.
Naik said that the chief minister has been requested to provide help to the carpenters.
Similarly, Naik also took up the cause of Goldsmiths after their state level association met him seeking for the help.
The Chief minister has also been informed about their demands.
