Panaji: Goa Administration on Saturday relaxed several curbs imposed in the state due to COVID-19 outbreak allowing certain activities to be opened up with restricted capacity.
South Goa District Collector Ajit Roy, in an order issued, has said lifted curbs on several activities including Cinema Halls, Swimming Pools, social, religious, sports, entertainment, educational and cultural gatherings.
While Swimming Pools can be functional only for training and sports purpose, the cinema halls, gathering for social, religious, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural is allowed with 50 per cent of its capacity.
The order reads that SOPs prescribed for various activities including movement by passenger trains, air travel, metro trains, schools, higher educational institutions, hotels and restaurants, shopping malls, multiplexes and entertainment parks, yoga centres to be strictly adhered to.
The District Collector has said that persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbities, pregnant women and children below the age of ten years are adviced to stay at home except for essential and health purposes.
He has said that the order will come into force with immediate effect.
