Panaji: Goa’s coronavirus caseload went up by 198 and reached 47,689 on Saturday,  a health department official said.

The death toll remained at 686 as none patients succumbed to the infection during the day, he said.

The number of recovered patients in the state rose to 45,655 with 163 of them getting discharge on Saturday. The number of active cases is now 1348, the official said.

“A total of 2,520 samples were tested during the day,” he added.
